Rituparno Ghosh. The name reminds us of a sensitive director, who could capture the emotions in minute details through his mature direction. His characters always seemed very real! He understoood the world of women so vividly and used to deliver all those delicate emotions on screen through his characters. Hirer Angti (1992), Unishe April (1994), Dahan (1997), Bariwali (1999), Titli (2002), Subha Mahurat (2003), Satyanweshi (2013)- are some of his memorable works. There are many more. He brought a new flavour in Bengali movies.
The sudden demise of this great director in 2013 was no doubt shocking.
